Salt 'n Koffie Gallery Café at Jaya One, Seksyen 13

Located at Jaya One, Seksyen 13
The café just located at the road side once you exit the mall at Block E level 3

Visited the shop at night and realized that not much crowd was there
The shop can’t really cater a large crowd as what I thought but they do have take-away service and ice cream parlor outside the shop!

Their menu also don’t have much choices and you probably cant have a proper meal here
Hang out drinks with dessert might do?

Here’s my Menu’
     Signature Koffie   RM14.00
       B4’ Nine      RM13.00
     Wild Harvest Honey Bush    RM11.00
     Apple Crumble Cake  RM15.00

Apple Crumble Cake RM 15.00
The cake taste rather a bit sweet due to the caramel layer on top of the cake. Not very impressing but not very impressing though

  B4’ Nine  RM13.00
Nasically it’s a Mocha….plus a bit of mint…taste was ok but….ok, I would prefer other drinks instead

WildHarvest HoneyBush  RM11.00

Surprisingly, I like the refreshing taste of the tea, or maybe due to the magical effect it has to clean the sweetness of the caramel apple crumble cake? LOL

Signature Koffie RM14.00
Ordered this as the menu told me it’s a must try! But again, not disappointing but definitely not something I would order again

Not to say that my visit to Salt 'n Koffie Gallery Café is a very enjoyable one
but also not a preferable café that will appear on my list
if I were to conduct any hang out session
For me, it was rather a okok café exist around PJ area

However, do note that they have Offpeak promotion
up to 20% a
nd sometimes with special event,
they can offer you up to 50%.

P/S:  OffPeak discount only applicable to the tea and coffee drinks (except signature series) ONLY.

Salad Atelier at Avenue K

wondering what to eat when having gathering in Avenue K
After search through the nearby promotion
Introduced by KindMeal.MY,
we decided to give Salad Atelier a try

Salad for dinner, sounds too healthy?
Went to the salad bar,
the outlet at Avenue K was something like a kiosk
located at level 2,
right beside Fitness First at Level2.
Maybe the salad bar to cater the gym goer there I think
Anyway,
there’s quite a variety of side dish you can choose
 to complete your salad Meal

For me, the price is a bit pricey but with the apps, Hell Yeah!

The promotion I got from KindMeal.my was really a good one

from the 2 promotion listed, we choose this one

My Menu comprised of:
-         2 Adult salads  (1 Base + 6 main + 2 Supplementary)
-         1 Adult Sandwich  (1 Base = 4 Main + 1 Supplementary + 1 Prime)
-         2 fruit juices
All for RM 43.20!!

I was quite satisfied with my visit this salad Atelier this time
And the salad that I get was quite delicious as well,
However,
do noted that you might get a bit hungry later
since its all fruits, vege and nuts
My advice is that mix some spaghetti so you can fill your stomach with heavier stuff,
Unless you are too particular about not taking carbohydrates into your body…

Anyway, definitely will visit again using the meal deal from KindMeal. My

Hello Kitty Gourmet Café at Sunway Pyramid

I believe that this is the very 1st outlet of Hello Kitty Cafe i Malaysia dedicated to their fans
Not really a fans of hellp kitty but had visited this Hello Kitty Gourmet Cafe while having a gathering in Sunway Pyramid.

This cafe was located outside from the shopping mall, quite isolated if you didn't pay enough attention
It was placed near the exit between Cafe Bene and H&M, after the exit, turn right and you shall see this café.

The cafe had 2 floors, 1st floor to serve those who want to just have some teas and drinks,
while the 2nd floor for those who wish to dine in
I wasn't quite impressed with the interior design and the layout for me is a bit odd and crampy

Here's my Menu:
-Flat White  RM13.10
-Chicken and wild mushroom Pasta (2 servings)    RM37.10
-Salmon Fillet  RM38.30

Chicken and wild mushroom Pasta (2 servings)    RM37.10
the pasta was a bit too saly and other than that, nth impressive....

Flat White  RM13.10
Their flat white taste watery and texture tasted more to latte, 13 bucks for this? Seriously?

Salmon Fillet  RM38.30
I just hope their quality can be as fancy as their decoration but apparently, not to me.....

Sadly to say that my visit was a total disappointment
even I have convinced myself that  this is new experience and just to try out
Turn out,

their food was amazingly AVERAGE !
with annoying coffee!
It was merely another commercialized  cafe due to business demand / opportunity.
They have the gimmick but with the quality of food they served vs money to pay,
just wonder how long can they sustain ?
Speaking of personal opinion,

 this place rather too expensive
Oor those who are rich enough,
Please, come here to support them!
Or else, there's so much cafe around KL that worth your money!
Cheer!

Mimi Nguyen Cafe at JLN PPK4 / JLN Puchong

Sudden crave of Vietnamese cuisine had brought me to pay a visit to Mimi Nguyen.
This shop will be on your right hand side if you driving along Jalan Puchong from old klang road towards Puchong.
The shop lot was quite easily recognizable due to the double-storey design utilizing underground as their base
Mimi Nguyen was on the first floor
There’s quite a number of Vietnamese having their dinner here due to the fact that this area had become little Vietnam village
so the existence of this shop is to cater the local demand I think.
The owner is Vietnamese as well and guessed what? They can speak Cantonese!
They baked their own Vietnamese baguette and you can buy them one @ RM2.40
Though the name is Mimi Nguyen café, they don’t really serve as a hang out place but more to a restaurant instead, selection of food is quite comprehensive as well

Here’s my Menu

-         Bánh Mì Gà Nướng (Vietnamese Roasted Chicken Sandwich)  RM8.80

-         Com Tam Suon Bi Cha (Vietnamese Broken Rice with Pork) RM 12.80

-         Com ga nuong (Vietnamese Chicken with Lemongrass) RM13.80

-         Bun Thit Nuong Cha Gio (Grilled Pork and Spring Rolls with dry vermicelli) RM9.80

-         Ph (Vietnamese beef noodle soup) RM11.80

-         Sinh t bơ (Vietnamese Avocado Shake) RM9.80

Bánh Mì Gà Nướng (Vietnamese Roasted Chicken Sandwich)  RM8.80 – Shop selling Banh Mi in KL are mushrooming everywhere but honestlty speaking, this Banh Mi totally win over my heart, the bread is homemade and so soft, yet crunchy and crispy! The taste just right as well!

Bun Thit Nuong Cha Gio (Grilled Pork and Spring Rolls with dry vermicelli) RM9.80 – Pour over with sweet sour sauce, this dish seriously excite your taste bud and encourage you to eat more. Spring roll tasted so good. Combination of the vege and grilled chicken make it a perfect meal! Favourite!

Ph (Vietnamese beef noodle soup) RM11.80 – No need to explain much, must try and the soup will linger in your mouth, leaving aftertaste in your mouth. They do serve with lots of vege for you to ass into the soup, a healthy meal I suppose? LOL

Com Tam Suon Bi Cha (Vietnamese Broken Rice with Pork) RM 12.80

Com Ga nuong (Vietnamese Chicken with Lemongrass) RM13.80

Sinh t bơ (Vietnamese Avocado Shake) RM9.80 – Not really a fans of avocado but this milkshake changed me, love the smooth texture and the fresh taste.

To conclude, I am so satisfied with my visit to this shop
and tust me, it’s worth a visit.
I wouldn’t say that it’s the best Vietnamese cuisine in KL but it’s the best I visited so far.
Authenticity level 100%!
I personally prefer this kind of restaurant where they only focus on business from local,
unlike so much other café/restaurant where just too much advertisement and disappointment.

Just hope the food standard can remain all the time.
